Day Seven: And on the 7th day, they rested.

Exhausted from our previous day’s travel, we spent an entire day just relaxing and hanging out at our friends’ house in Saugerties. We slept late, had breakfast, walked to a local playground, and went out for ice cream. It was a lovely – and much needed – day of respite, relaxation, and catching up. So focused on my pursuit of expending the least amount of energy as possible, I took exactly ONE picture all day:
Old Friends
This is Spencer, Paxton, and Danielle, walking back up the hill when we were returning from the park. Spencer and Danielle were both born on February 19th, 1997. We have been in each other’s lives since they were just a few months old, when I started a little online mom’s group. We first met in person when they were still barely toddlers, and we went on to forge a friendship that has spanned 14 years, many miles, and lots of life changes. They are the kind of friends that we can go years without seeing, and still instantly pick up where we left off, as though no time had past. Everyone should have at least one of those friends in their life, and we are blessed to have them.
