What I Learned on my Summer Vacation

Or rather, on my spring camp-out.  In no particular order:

And finally, three days is a long enough break from real beds, real toilets, and hot showers… but not nearly long enough from housework, voice mails, and Facebook.

I can’t wait for the next trip.

  1. Lovely – where did you go?  Also funny about 3 days being long enough away from the “luxuries” – I’ve been ruminating lately that 3 days is long enough to Have those things – especially constant access to the internet!  I am so much happier and healthier when I’m Living outside…  and only going inDoors for a particular purpose…  (this as i’m 6 weeks in to a 7 week lay-up!)  I’ve been amazed by how much just having a bit of electricity changes the entire rhythm of life…

I thought of you while we were there!   We were at Canyon Woods Lake, up near Payson.  And I agree, I would so love to take a longer break from electricity – and the internet especially – someday.   It really is such a nice way to live, even if just temporarily.

We’ve all been keeping up with your blog and your journey.  <3

Thanks, I love that picture. 🙂 Although, I have mixed feelings looking at these pics now… this was the trip that screwed up my shoulder!
